Safety (S) - The Safety is arguably the most skilled player on field, along with the Offensive General. The Safety is the (General of the Defense).
The Safety is also 1st Teams Defense, task with stopping the opposing Generals from progressing their teams from out of their Home Zone, and into Opposing Zone Invasions the Safety may disrupt all game play by causing loose balls and possession losses.
The Safety Plays the whole Field of play and on both sides of the ball. But may not be a target of his General.
The Safety may not be a target of any player outside of MidWay or MidField.
The Safety may Score Goals, Buckets, Deliveries, and (Defensive Zone Invasions (but only in his home Defensive Zone)).
The Safety is a Sole Possession Player: The Safety can gain Field Possession of the ball anywhere outside of MidWay or MidField. The Safety may only score a defensive Zone Invasion if possession occurs outside of MidWay or MidField.
The Safety may establish possession inside of MidWay or MidField. But only take possession outside of MidWay or MidField to attempt Deliveries.
The Safety, General and Goalie are the only players that may deliver the ball to the Catcher.
Defenders (D) - Defenders Are the 1st Teams Defense, task with stopping the opposing Generals from progressing their teams from out of their Home Zone, Defenders may disrupt by causing loose balls and temporary possession losses. Any Defender that causing a loose ball may then possess and score points with successful strikes (Goals) on the Goalie.
Defenders may also operate within Midway or MidField, but may not score Buckets.
Defenders may not deliver ball to Catcher.
Defenders may only operate within their assigned Defensive Zones or within their Home Zone.
Defenders may only operate within their Home Zone while under invasion, at this point the defender may assist in defending his Home Zone.
Defenders may be swapped or subbed in/out as regulated.
Corners (C) - Corners Protect and prevent receivers from gaining fielding possession.
Corners are also 1st Teams Defense, task with stopping the opposing Generals from progressing their teams from out of their Home Zone, Corners may disrupt by causing loose balls and possession losses.
Corners Defensive Objective: prevent receivers from gaining field possession, causing loose balls, recovering loose balls and returning them the Midway or Midfield.
Corners may pass the ball along to only Defenders (D) and Ground Pounders (GP)
Corners may score goals and buckets
Corners May operate anywhere on the field of play.
Goalie (G) - The Goalie is the last defense for a Zone Invasion and Goal Zone Invasion and the protector of the teams Home Goal.
The Goalie can play the whole Field of play and on both sides of the ball.
The Goalie can Score Buckets and Deliveries.
The Goalie and Catcher are the only players that may give possession of the ball directly to their Teams General on the Generals Line of Scrimmage.
The Goalie may only return the ball to his Team’s General on the Generals Line of Scrimmage. Upon a strike attempt, Goal or on a tackle submission or knockout of a Receiver attempting to score a Goal Zone Invasion.
The Goalie may also elect to clear the ball into a new field of play.
Catcher (CT) - The Catcher provides the most streamline way for the defense to return the ball back to their General to begin a new Zone Invasion attempt.
The Catcher is task with aggressively receiving the ball from the Safety, General, or Goalie
Either through catching or recovering the ball prior to another player on any delivery attempt.
Catchers may catch or recover a ball anywhere within the Catcher's box. And then directly return the ball the their Teams General on the Generals Line of Scrimmage.
The Catcher may not operate outside of MidWay but may Score Goals and Buckets.
